Centro de Danza de Segovia

The Dance Center of Segovia takes its origin in September 2012. Current directors and teachers Natalia Tapia del Brio and Yevgen Uzlenkov make the decision to start a new stage in their professional lives and take the step towards the inauguration of the school. Both of them being professional dancers with extensive careers in different European companies, they face the challenge with the greatest illusion of sharing their profession and their life, the world of Ballet, with Segovia.



At the time of the existence of the company of Ángel Corella Castilla y León, in which they have been decisive dancers, they discovered the city and the potential it possesses. They decide to stay and with a lot of effort they start the adventure (the desired Dance School) that this year celebrates its third anniversary and is growing professionally, fed by the good dynamics of the students themselves and not so much by their teachers for some time.



Natalia and Yevgen's ability to increase their knowledge and experience as teachers in such a short time is noteworthy. The professional experience of the teachers is extensive, as is their pedagogical touch. Several teachers from different dance disciplines come to take classes at the Dance Center of Segovia to perfect their skills.



In these three years they taught in different Dance Schools in Spain. Among them the Professional Conservatories of Cádiz, Sevilla, Malaga; Dance Association ADAE in Madrid. They prepared the students, who chose ballet as their profession, to take the exams at the Professional Conservatories of Seville and Puerto Llano.



One of the main goals of the Dance Centre of Segovia is the training of future professional classical or contemporary dancers.



In order to get closer to this, starting from next year, the Centre plans the participation of the best students in national and international ballet competitions. and also to exchange with other academies during the summer holidays.



We do not rule out that in the very near future, the city of Segovia will be able to count on a young ballet, formed by the CDS quarry dancers. Collaborating with the capital city of Segovia in the city's festivals, making them enjoy their talents. Because we faithfully believe in the good work we do every day, being honest in our work, sharing our profession and life, not being afraid of effort forges the way to success.
