Description
I am LAZARTE ART DIRECTOR, CHOREOGRAPHER AND DANCE MAITRE.
He began his training at the Escuela Nacional de Instructores de Arte, Escuela Nacional de Arte and the Instituto Superior de Arte in Havana. Later, he furthered his studies at the Centro de Superación Especializada para la Cultura and the Ballet Tropicana, obtaining the title of Artistic Director of Shows in 1993.
In 1991, she began her career as a performer and choreographer, beginning a fruitful creative career with works such as Stabat Mater (1994), created for the Young National Ballet Guard of Cuba; Formas (1996), awarded the prize for the best creation at the Alicia Alonso International Dance Competition in Havana; Mea Situs (1997), A lo naqueveriano (1997) and Yo (1998), created for the Classical Ballet of Havana, as well as numerous pieces created for the Ballet company of the Centro Pro Danza de Cuba, the Compañía de Espectáculos Musicales Ebano, the Ballet Parisién, and Ellas Danzan, work conceived for the company of the same name he directs.
He has developed an outstanding teaching work in centers and companies such as the National School of Modern and Folkloric Dance of Cuba, the National School of Ballet of Havana, the Paradise Road Company of Berlin and the Cuban capital, the Xavier Coasin Academy of Ballet in Belgium, and in universities of Spain, among others.
He currently works as a maître, choreographer and artistic director of the Ellas Danzan contemporary dance company project.
He has choreographed works in the most diverse formats, characterized by his particular dramatic sense and his great visual impact, supported by a fresh and sensual costume that determines the idiosyncrasy of his nationality and his Latin American identity.
