Bachata Geneva

Very good festival with a high level of social dancers! I loved the concept of no recordings at certain times (at least most people did not record during this time).
Only downside was the heat/humidity in both the nights and particularly the day socials - it was almost unbearable.
The finals in the competition also took a very long time, so even though it was very interesting to watch, it was a bit hard to stand for that long and a big chunk of the night was suddenly gone without dancing.

It was really good, however a few improvements could be made. 1. seating for the Jack & Jill competition rather than standing. 2.Teaching Artists explicitly stating at the beginning of each class reminding the couples not switching partners to go to the outside or back. I was totally fed up of trying to navigate round many couples bunched together not switching then having to try & find a partner for almost half of the lesson. There's no way of knowing that these couples aren't switching until the lesson is underway. It's a shame when you pay good money expecting to be able to participate in learning from these professionals, but spend most of the lesson trying to locate a partner. 3, It would be a lot better when the teachers do a demo with counts after the lesson in the circle as oppose to one the stage as I had difficulty even managing to see or video it on my phone as it was impossible to see being smaller than most people so didnt get to see to video some of these demos because of this difficulty. What I did like was that the whats app groups was helpful and sent some of the videos, however no one had the one I really wanted. The Jack and Jill competition and the level of teaching was very good. The program and amount of lesson was really good too

It was amazing.
Two things I was not a fan of was how humid the rooms were in socials, and how long the finals (competition) took. The rest was amazing!
