Malta Sensual Weekend 2023 (3ª Edición)

Points positifs :

- les ateliers de danse étaient très bien, j'entends par là les profs qui étaient de qualité.

- pool party sympa.

Points négatifs :

- espace trop petit pout danser, cela ressemblait plus à une soirée normal qu'à un festival.

- la foule n'était pas très accueillante. On se rend vite compte que la plus part des gens présents se connaissaient déjà, de ce fait, les nouveaux se sentaient vite mis à l'écart surtout pendant les soirées. Ceci est assez décevant pour un festival où justement il devrait y avoir plus de partage et de convivialité.

Very disaponited about the festival. Not much space andbad organized. Events with sbk in same room are a fail. If an event is called Sensual then i expect separate rooms for bachata and kizomba. The music more domincan. Its not recomended for pure bachata dancer.

I found the event underwhelming and disappointing to be sincere.

First the venue and space wasn’t conducive for a festival.it was small and limiting for the crowd and also not well ventilated.

The event was tagged SBK but there was next to nothing salsa. For an sbk event an even balance is needed otherwise there should be pre-warning of the imbalance.

Time management was also an issue, with the shows overrunning meaning less time dancing on the bigger dance floor, before it closes at 2am particularly on Saturday night.

I travelled internationally for this event and i must admit i was sorely disappointed, and filled with regrets. For someone that travels a lot and has danced in several countries and almost all the continents this was my biggest let down.

The crowd was unfriendly and unwelcoming and I believe this tells on the teachers and organisers. Leading by example is essential in creating a thriving and welcoming dance community.

I’d encourage the organisers to travel internationally for other events and learn how to have a spectacular festival
