Hot Tropical Dance Málaga 2024

Attended only Urban Kiz classes and parties of the festival.

Really enjoyed it - great instructors, great music ( except that one DJ on Friday the changed songs almost every 8-16 counts).

Things that were not quite there for me :

1. dancer level in classes - people went to some class not even knowing what they are attending. so instead of an advanced or intermediate class we got beginner class almost.

2. the masterclasses were not indicated online only at the entrace. Maybe putting masterclasses also in the event could help.

Over all i really enjoyed the festival

There was not many people this year. the classes were great , but there wasn't any vibe around the hotel, no pool party ...

A bit of a dead congress .

I still met nice people and enjoyed some of it but last year was a lot better.

The bachata workshops and their artists were amazing. All of them were really accessible and professional. 

The Friday and Saturday evening parties were very good, amazing music by Dj Khalid, as usually.

Amazing venue with very beautiful halls and options for the outside social dancing that was not used at all, even though it was falsely advertised by the pictures on the promotional material... The hotel was full of other clients, so actually there was no "festival vibe" in the rest of the hotel.

The first impression of the event was pretty bad as the staff was not prepared and they have run out of the VIP passes and instead of apologizing they were arguing with the clients about it. They were not allowing clients that have paid for the tickets not even to see the workshops from the balcony on the top before fixing the issue.

DJ Khalid was advertised as one of the main DJs on bachata part of the event, and he was only there on Friday night, then he was travelling to another festival to Bucharest. Second false advertisement.

The DJ on Saturday event at 4 PM started playing some type of "techno" bachata. The crowd was suffering and he hasn't noticed it all. As he played 3 techno bachatas in a row, continuing with Dominican bachata and "killed the night" with salsa...

The Sunday's party at bachata floor was no good as the majority of dancers already went home. The rest later rather joined kizomba floor and the party really sucked...

I think that this event is lacking organizational skills. It has a lot of potential that was not used, hopefully they will be able to improve it next year.
