Jorge Camagüey

Jorge Camagüey is a dancer and instructor of Casino (Salsa Cubana) and Cuban folk dances. Dedicated for more than 20 years in Europe to the teaching and motivation of these Latin dances.

Biography

(Jorge Camagüey, Cuba, Camagüey). Casino instructor and dancer, popular and modern Cuban dances.

I started my professional career at the age of 7 at the "Casa de Cultura" in my hometown (Camagüey).

At the age of 20 I became a professional dancer and decided to inaugurate with other artists the "Conjunto Folclórico de Camagüey", today categorized as one of the most important folkloric groups in Cuba.

In 1997 I decided to try my luck abroad and landed in Barcelona.

Barcelona in 2014 still continues to be my second "cradle", in it, I have sown my passion for the teaching of dances and dance transmitting a cultural feeling always based on helping, motivating and elevating people.

Since then and together with my good professional career in Barcelona I have been able to travel all over the world giving away my knowledge and creating a worldwide salsa community (along with other masters, musicians and dancers).
