Roger Casasampere

Roger has been teaching ballroom dancing since 1996 and has been teaching competitive sports dancing since 1992.

Since 2004 he has run and directed his own school in Reus, Basic Escola de Ball, which has become one of the leading schools for couples dancing in the Tarragona region.

He began his career in sports and competition dancing, becoming runner-up in Spain in professional Latin dance three times with his wife Elisabet Alonso. After retiring from competition he worked as an international judge in different competitions.

He then began his training in swing dancing: Lindy Hop, Charleston, blues, shag, at schools in Barcelona Lindyhop.cat and Ballaswing, and at the Madison School in Castellón.

Since 2012, he has started his career as a swing dancer and has also trained with renowned international teachers such as: Isabella Gregorio (Sweden), Pontus Persson (Sweden), Sharon Davis (Australia), Juan Villafañe (Argentina), Maeva Truntzer and William Mauvais (France), Ali and Katja (Germany), Isa Gregori & Victor Lopez from Valencia, Anna Portell from Barcelona, ​​Roser Ros from Barcelona, ​​Marcos León from Zaragoza.

He is currently also a Lindy Hop teacher in the Tarragona region.

Co-organizer of JUMPIN' SWING, a traveling swing dance festival in the Tarragona region.
